Controversial Figure Gypsy Rose Blanchard Released from Prison

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was accommodating time in confinement for her component in the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard was granted parole and is set to be released before the New Year.

Blanchard, 32, pleaded censurable to murder in the first degree in July of 2016 and was sentenced to 10 years in confinement. When relinquished she will have accommodated 85% of her prior 10-year sentence.  Preceding her sentence in July 2016, she spent time in Green County jail, which contributed to her overall sentence.

“Dee Dee” Blanchard’s mother fabricated all her daughter’s medical information, which led to Gypsy being a victim of Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome. This is a psychological condition where someone pretends to be ill or deliberately engenders symptoms of illness to themselves.

Gypsy was born in 1991 and by the age of eight her mother described her as having leukemia and burly dystrophy, which she verbalized that it required her to be in a wheelchair as well as an alimenting tube. The list of medical quandaries that “Dee Dee” would relate to her daughter would go on to include seizures, asthma, and aurally perceiving and visual impairments.

However, the truth emerged years after that Gypsy could walk by herself, did not require a feeding tube, and did not have cancer. In 2011, Gypsy endeavored to get away from her mother with a man but failed when her mother ascertained. From then on Gypsy was restricted to being online.

Later Gypsy found a way to get back online and joined a Christian dating site, where she met Nicholas Godejohn. She told him the veracity of her mother’s actions and asked him to kill “Dee Dee” so that they could be together.

In June of 2015, Godejohn came to the Blanchard home and stabbed Dee Dee multiple times while Gypsy obnubilated and waited in the bathroom, covering her auditory perceivers.

After the murder of Dee Dee, many wondered why Gypsy had gone as far as to kill her rather than just expose the prevarications by standing up in public. She explicated, “I couldn’t just jump out of the wheelchair, because I was scared, and I didn’t know what my mother would do. I didn’t have anyone to trust.” She was conditioned to believe that no one would believe her.

Gypsy Rose has now consummated 85% of her sentence and is to be released on December 28th of this year, unlike Nicholas Godejohn who was found censurable of first-degree murder and is accommodating life in confinement with no chance of parole.
